Arkansas Rice Research and Promotion Board

The Arkansas Rice Research and Promotion Board was established in 1985 (Act 725 of 1985) to improve the profitability of growing rice in Arkansas by conducting a program of research, extension, and market development.

The board has a long history of support for research and promotion programs. They conduct a research program through the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture (variety development, pest control, fertilization, environmental concerns, economics etc.), reviewing projects annually.
